Loren, I totally get it. My blood boils whenever I hear that a dad can have custody when the child is 16 or 17 years old...when the child chooses to live with dad. But for the first 15 years it's okay to just let mom have custody... It's OK for dad to forego 15 years of parenting. Ridiculous.
Goes to show...if you want decisions about your kid's life to be based on intelligent, informed thought, then you have to do it yourself. The government actors are incapable of discerning what that even is.
